There has been plenty of talk in recent months about the hottest prospects across the globe and certain youngsters have really impressed in recent months, so much so that they’ve been called up to represent their respective countries. Here are 5 in-form young stars who could really impress for their country this international break.

Harry Kane

Harry Kane has been nothing short of a sensation this season. The 21 year old has scored 19 goals this season, making him top scorer in the EPL above Diego Costa and Sergio Aguero, with 18 and 17 respectively. Whilst Kane doesn’t necessarily look like a footballer his unnatural style is almost his brilliance. No doubt the English media will try their hardest to kill off his talent after a while, but let’s enjoy it while it lasts.

Nabil Fekir

FOOTBALL : Lyon vs Caen - Ligue 1 - 12/12/2014

Lyon’s rise back to the pinnacle of French football has been largely down to the emergence of their two newest stars, Lacazette and Nabil Fekir. Lacazette may be the out and out goal-getter but Fekir deserves as much praise after his incredible performances this term, even at only 21 years old the attacker has grabbed an incredible 13 goals and 7 assists, top class.

Kurt Zouma

Mourinho has previously stated that France should thank him for modelling their two latest superstars at the back, Varane and Zouma. While Varane is now a constant in the French team Zouma is yet to make his debut, although, as he continues to become more important at Chelsea he will be knocking on the door to finally represent France. Pacey and dominant, Zouma looks the real deal.

Philippe Coutinho

Philippe Coutinho might not be an obvious choice for this list: the 22 year-old’s impact in the Premier League this season hides his relative international immaturity. With only 5 appearances for Brazil so far in his career, Liverpool’s star playmaker is yet to make an impact on the ‘Pentacampeões’. Chelsea’s Oscar is the man most likely to give way should Dunga give Coutinho the nod. Based on current form, that’s not an unlikely prospect.

Michy Batshuayi

Michy Batshuayi’s has quickly built a reputation as Olympique Marseille’s supersub of choice – the young Belgain has netted 5 times off the bench this season, more than any other European player. The 21 year old also boasts the highest goals-per-minute ratio of any regular Ligue 1 scorers, scoring once for every 90 minutes of football he’s played. That stellar season combined with Lukaku’s injury was enough to see him called up to potentially feature in an increasingly formidable Belgian front-line.
