Remembering Dutch football legend Johan Cruyff



One of football’s unquestionable greats has lost his battle with cancer.

Widely regarded as one of the best and most innovative players of all time, Cruyff won three consecutive European Cups with Ajax from 1971, coached Barcelona to their first European Cup triumph in 1992 and took the Dutch 1974 World Cup team to the final of the tournament.

Amongst a long list of accolades, Cruyff was immortalised for his trademark ‘Cruyff turn’ that left defences the world over in pieces:

And all round, changed the world with a style of football that earned him 3 Ballon d’Ors. There will never be another player like him.
