The 24 year old has had an incredible career to date picking up three Young Player of the Year awards & three Player of the Year awards in seven years… Madness. The question now is, what’s next for Mourinho’s prized asset? Will Hazard take the next step and win the Ballon d’Or?

Hazard at Lille

After coming through the ranks at Lille, Eden Hazard established himself as one of the greatest players in Ligue 1… as a teenager. During his time at Lille, Hazard was the most sought after youngster in Europe. When you win back to back Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year awards, then follow that up with back to back Ligue 1 Player of the Year awards that doesn’t go unnoticed. By the time Hazard made the move to Chelsea, the Belgian had bagged himself 50 goals for Lille from 194 appearances… at 21. In his last season at Lille, Hazard really proved how far he’d come scoring 20 goals and 15 assists in the 2011/12 season & winning his second Player of the Year award in a row.

Hazard at Chelsea

Since moving to the Premier League, Hazard has continued to progress. During his three seasons at Chelsea, Hazard has established himself as arguably the Premier League’s number one danger man. Over his three years, Hazard has played 156 times for Chelsea scoring an impressive 48 goals and shows no signs of letting up. The newly crowned PFA Player of the Year has had an incredible seven years. Now the question is, what will he achieve in the next seven years? Could Hazard win the Ballon d’Or? (… by the way might be worth muting the video. Unless you enjoy that sort of music…)
