On Monday FC Twente celebrated their 50th anniversary. The club itself didn’t organise anything for the occasion but the fans sure did. The FC Twente Ultras – VakP – put on an unbelievable pyro display in the city centre of Enschede and lit 300 flares in the streets to form ’50’ to make the club reaching this landmark. The supporters’ display demonstrates their connection to the city, and the club the represents it. This sort fan display is not uncommon in Dutch football. However, it is great to see the fans unite to show love to their club.
