We take a look at some of the worlds biggest games that are happening this weekend. Hold on to your hats, these games are huge!!

Spurs vs Arsenal

(Saturday 12:45pm UK time)

Saturday sees the first of several high profile, explosive derbies/classicos from across Europe and the world, as Spurs host Arsenal in the North London Derby. Both teams have recently suffered serious losses, denting their Premiership aspirations and will want to get back to winning ways against their local rivals. Should Tottenham vanquish their more successful neighbour, they will move 6 points clear, hoping to not only emulate the achievement of the 94/95 team that finished above the Gunners, but of the 60/61 team that won the league. Arsenal on the other hand will see it as a opportunity to move level on points and show the league that they can still perform at the business end of the season.

Dortmund vs Bayern

(Saturday 5:30pm UK time)

Borussia Dortmund host a Bayern Munich team fresh from their first league defeat since early December 2015. When these two teams met in Munich, Bayern handed out a lesson to the travelling BVB, inflicting a heavy 5-1 defeat. A win for 2nd placed Dortmund would move them to just 2 points behind the reigning league champions, with just 9 games to go. Will Pep take his foot off the gas now he has his huge money move to the Premiership finalised, will this, combined with his focus on winning the Champions League, allow Dortmund to capitalise.

Sporting vs Benfica

(Saturday 8:45pm UK time)

At 8:45pm the Derby de Lisboa kicks off in Portugal with Sporting taking the home advantage as their local rivals Benfica come to the Estadio Jose Alvalade. Sporting won convincingly 0-3 away from home in the league match back in October and then knocked out Benfica 2-1 in the Taca de Portugal a month later. With only a point between these two teams, the game couldn’t be bigger as league leaders Sporting take on 2nd placed Benfica.

River Plate vs Boca Juniors

(Sunday 12:45pm UK time)

8:00pm Sunday sees arguably the biggest derby in football, the SuperClasico between the giants of River Plate and Boca Juniors. Both teams have had unimpressive starts this season taking 7 points from 5 games so far. This game will mean more than just points on the board though as they battle for the bragging rights in Buenos Aires. River edged the last game at the Bombanero Stadium 0-1 just 4 weeks ago so Boca will be looking for revenge in what is certain to be an electric and tense fixture.
