How Northern Ireland celebrated: Crowd Surfing Keith Gillespie & Sleeping with a Cone

The Northern Irish fans have been some of the best supporters at this year’s Euros and it seems like they were guaranteed to have a great time whatever happened. After their 2-0 victory against Ukraine though (their first ever win at a European Championship), mass celebration on another level was inevitable. Here are some of the reactions from Talksport's Northern Irish commentator Colin Murray’s perspective in France.

1. Keith Gillespie Crowd Surfing

The now retired Northern Irish player Keith Gillespie was definitely not going to miss out on the festivities and here he is crowd surfing through the streets of Lyon.

2. Will Grigg's Still on Fire

Would this list be complete without a mention of Will Grigg being on fire? Never mind the official song of the Euros, the unofficial anthem and the song that everyone will remember is this one. If Grigg does eventually come on and score a goal for his country, we can’t imagine what might happen.

3. Enjoying the finer things in life

It would simply be uncultured not to try some of the great French wine on offer and what better time to crack it out then after a result like this one.

4. And finally after partying into the early morning, cosying up with a cone
