Club Football in mid July may sound strange to many of our followers, but some Europe’s warmest terraces have been heating up with the early cup competitions of the summer months. The stories from the terraces this week highlights some of the grounds and clubs that don’t always enter our frame of mind when we think of great football. However, the passion emanating from these stands is up there with the best of them.

Last Sunday Dinamo Zagreb boss Zdravko Mamić finally ended behind bars (due to tax fraud). Together with him his brother Zoran Mamić (Dinamo coach) and Croatian football federation director Damir Vrbanović (very close to Dinamo). Fans of both the rival clubs celebrated the news, with massive marches throughout the city, ahead of a tense clash.

The match was delayed following a massive pyro show to start things off. In the end the home side won 3-0, confirming Lech’s current dominance in polish football.
Zenit – Lokomotiv Moscow
Zenit Supporters displayed a massive Tifo and pyro show ahead of their match against Lokomotiv Moscow for the Super cup. The Zenit supporters have garnered a reputation for their spectacular passion on the terraces.
Ajax First Training
As is customary in Holland, fans at Ajax’s first training put on a massive pyro show to motivate their players ahead of the big season. This tradition is an incredible manifestation of the passion the lives on dutch terraces, where fans truly show their support year round. Even well ahead of any official fixtures/

As is customary at many Italian clubs, the supporters group of Atalanta held their large annual feast with members and friends. This is a yearly occasion to develop new chants for the season, plan actions and choreographies, and revel in the community that one finds in the terraces of their football club.
