As the 2014/2015 season comes to an end, the tension in the stands is higher than ever. Fans across the world are living the glory of victory and agony of defeat in a visceral way. This expression of mass emotion is demonstrated in terrace culture. Here are the terraces of the weekend…

Partizan Belgrade celebrate their 26th title with a band, players handing the cup over to supporters, and a typically epic Serbian Choreo:

German 3rd Division Club, Hansa Rostock opened up their match against Energie Cottbus at the weekend this a choreography for the ages. They stitched together a years worth of stolen scarves, flags and banners, clinched in the jaws of a pitbull; the supporters group’s mascot.

Spartak Moscow and CSKA Moscow played on the weekend in Moscow’s biggest Derby. Historically CSKA Moscow has been considered the team of the state, while Spartak is known as the people’s team. Both sets of supporters lived up their reputations with awesome displays.

Norwich supporters celebrated their qualification to the Championship playoff final this weekend with a mass pitch invasion. The Canaries are set to play Middlesbrough next Monday in the final at Wembley. They beat cross-town rivals Ipswich in what has come to be known as the Old Farm Derby.

Zenit St. Petersburg won the Russian league on the weekend. Supporters of the White and Sky Blues celebrated with a massive chorteo through the city and a massive pyro show in the grounds. This is Zenit’s 3rd championship in 5 years.

 

Arminia Bielefeld sealed promotion to the Bundesliga II at the weekend. The fans stormed the pitch to join the team in their celebrations

Thousands celebrated last night as Benfica won their 34th league title the supporters went wild. Street parties broke out along the streets of Lisbon, while fans and players celebrated in the cities central square. This is just another example of the close connection that can exist between club and community.
