1994-1995 Serie A

Juventus had failed to win the league over the previous nine season, but following the acquisition of Ciro Ferrara, Alessio Tacchinard. Paulo Sousa, and Didier Deschamps, Juventus conquered the Serie A.  In the run up to winning the title, this cracker between Lazio and Juve ended 3-4.  Just check out this gem from Alex Del Piero.

1998-1999 Supercoppa Italiana Final

The 1999 Italian Super Cup final was one of the most epic and controversial in recent memory.  Nedved opened the scoring for Sven Goran Eriksson’s men in the 37th minute putting his side up 1-0.   Alex Del Piero then converted a penalty in the 87th minute drawing the game level.  With extra-time looking inevitable, newly arrived Sergio Conceicao put the biancocelesti up 2-1, as some of Juventus’ players were still lamenting being left in 10 men following a red card to Inzaghi.

2003-2004 Coppa Italia Final – Second Leg

After losing 2-0 in the first leg following a double by Valerio Fiore, Juventus believed they could turn it around with a second leg to be played in Turin. The bianconeri went up early with a Trezeguet goal in the 20th minute.  Shortly after the half, Del Piero doubled the result, putting the score level on aggregate.  Then, in the 69th minute Condor Corradi extinguished the Juventus faithful with a header to the back of the net.  Stefano Fiore put the knife in the coffin in the 83, bringing Lazio the 4th Coppa Italia in club’s history

2007-2008 Serie A

Upon returning to Serie A, following calciopoli and their season in Serie B, the bianconeri played a series of unforgettable games.  Perhaps the most notable of these fixtures came when Ranieri’s Juventus won 3-2 against a Lazio side led by Pandev and Rocchi.  Del Piero scored a double, the second of which he traps the ball with his heel in a full sprint and finish the ball with his left, just under the uprights.  To many in the Italian press, this match reconfirmed Juventus’ status as Serie A giants.

2013 Supercoppa Italiana Final

The 2013 Italian Super Cup Final had all the makings of an epic fixture.  Juventus had just conquered their second consecutive Serie A title, confirming their return to dominance.  On the other side Lazio had just defeated AS Roma in the Coppa Italia, lifting the cup in their rivals’ faces.  The first half was incredibly close, with only a 23rd minute Pogba goal separating the two sides.  Then at the strike of 50 minutes, Juventus changed gears.  Chiellini, Lichsteiner, and Tevez all scored within three minutes, sealing the title for Juventus and foreshadowing their strength throughout the following season.
