Last night Redbull Salzburg defeated FK Austria Wien 2-0 at the Austrian cup final. The home team managed to survive nearly 80 minutes with ten men, before scoring both goals in extra time, as Redbull secured their second consecutive league and cup double in as many years.
Copa90 contributor, Dave Rewi was at the game with fellow FK Austria Wien supporters and gave us an insight into the fan experience on the day. Many football fans in Austria resent Redbull Salzburg for taking over Austria Salzburg, and vastly outspending everyone else in the league. In fact, the match day environment seemed to come entirely from the FK Austria Vienna contingent.
