Manchester United, giants of the small screen when it comes to TV ratings, have hooked up with big screen Hollywood film distributors 20th Century Fox to promote the studio’s films at its home game.
The deal will see 20th Century Fox promotes its latest releases, including Deadpool, X-Men: Apocalypse and Independence Day: Resurgence, via digital perimeter boards and post-match interview backdrops at Old Trafford. The studio will also have the opportunity to provide entertainment for fans at United home games, as well as placing content on the club’s global digital platforms.
20th Century Fox becomes the Official Manchester United Feature Film Partner.
As a first promotion United players Ander Herrera, Juan Mata, Chris Smalling, David De Gea, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Wayne Rooney came face-to-face with Deadpool, the latest Marvel character to hit the big screen, during a penalty shootout. This short film has been released across Manchester United social media channels.
