Welcome back to another edition of #SickKitFriday! You know what they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so let's get right into it without further ado.

PHOENIX RISING F.C.

There’s Newcastle United and Newcastle Brown Ale and, there’s Liverpool F.C. and Carlsburg, and now amongst the ranks of perfect shirt sponsors comes the USL’s Phoenix Rising F.C. and Mad Decent Records. Grammy-award Diplo, who founded the record label, is a co-owner of the second-division club.

The rest of the kit isn’t so bad either: the red-and-darker-red stripes (white for the away kit) on the front are cut and mismatched along a diagonal line, on top of which the sponsor also sits slanted. The white fake collar stands is a nice added touch as well, and really stands out amongst the darker rest of the kit.

HANNOVER 96

Hannover 96 might currently sit in 2. Bundesliga, but they’ve got their eyes on the prize ahead of their their German Cup clash with 3rd-in-the-Bundesliga Eintracht Frankfurt. A special one-off jersey was released for the Round of 16 matchup that honors the 25th anniversary of their historic 1992 tournament win, very closely resembling the kit worn then (featured on right) — although they gave wild design on the sleeve a bit of a modern makeover.

Don’t like this jersey too much, though; it sold out within days of its release.

ALIANZA LIMA

After debuting a three-stripe block design in their kits last year, the Peruvian club has returned to basics this year. Their new home kit features the traditional and simple blue-and-white stripes that are reflected in their equally, beautifully simple club crest.

HOWLER MAGAZINE x UMBRO

Our friends at Howler Magazine partnered with Umbro for a set of custom kits. Howler’s logo serves as the “sponsor” on the front and on the upper back, and as for where the number goes? A red card. Yeah, the only way to go to buy a kit this nice is studs-up.
