I've been fortunate to experience a regular Portland home game first hand which was great, but the Timbers-Sounders rivalry is really something else. As an Australian football fan it's inspiring to see the game growing so strongly in the US. I also loved Tom Deacon's work as the Eurofan. What is the best football game you have seen and why?It has to be Australia's defeat of Uruguay on November 15, 2005 to qualify for Germany '06. Unfortunately, I couldn't be there in person but that didn't matter. Watching on television, surrounded by friends, I felt every minute of that match as though I was in the stands. It was a defining moment for the game in Australia and confirmed why I'd grown to love football so much. I will never forget it.What is your favourite football snack?Although they're often hard to find in and around football stadiums in Australia, I do love some Bratwurst. And basically any type of meat wrapped in any type of bread. And beerWho is your footballing idol? It's difficult to pin it down to one player. But if I could model myself after any footballer, Dennis Bergkamp would be a fine choice. A classy player on and off the pitch. Except for the fear of flying, I don't want that.
