MEET LUKE & TIM

We're football nutters living on the beautiful beaches of the Sunshine Coast in Australia. We're both studying journalism at university with a focus on broadcast. We work at Woolworths (a supermarket) and Domino's (pizza delivery) to pay the bills and the important things in life, like football tickets! We love Copa90 because it's the combination of our two loves, football and reporting, and being in that industry is a major goal of ours. We love every aspect of football, we love the game, the fans and the culture. The thing we love most though is that every fan has a story to tell and we want to be there to hear those stories. Our lives are generally filled by football, whether it be playing it, staying up until midnight to watch our teams play, playing Fifa and Football Manager or watching videos on YouTube football is a dominant force. We'd always talked about how much of an amazing opportunity it would be to be a Copa90 presenter, so when the In Search Of video came out we knew we had to apply and here we are. So that's a bit about our story, we hope to hear yours somewhere around the world! Luke & Tim.

Luke and Tim are two football obsessed journalists from Brisbane. Both of them support Brisbane Roar but find different allegiances in English football, with Luke supporting Tottenham and Tim finding solace in East London with West Ham. For a persepctive on all things realted to Australian football, give these two Socceroos a follow.

Luke - The fan film fund video 'How stats won football' on FC Midtjylland and Brentford. I love the intricacies of football and it's always good to see teams beat the system of the big spenders using initiative and brainpower over wallet power.Tim - Straight Outta Carpi because it's such a unique story and you can tell how much the football club mean to the fans and the entire city. It was such an interesting story and the fans' passion was evident. What is the best football game you have seen and why? Luke - Brisbane Roar's first championship win in 2011. We'd dominated the entire season and made it to the grand final. The weather meant the football wasn't top quality and it ended 0-0 at full time. We conceded two goals in extra time and the entire stadium thought it was over. We pop up with a 116th minute goal to pull it back to 2-1. In the 120th minute we get a corner and Erik Paartalu gets his head up and powers it into the net with the final touch of the match. We go on the win the penalty shootout and the rest is history. I can still remember the noise and the emotion in the stadium, it was surreal.Tim - The 2015 Asian Cup semi final in Brisbane. Australia beat China 2-0 with Australia's favourite son Timmy Cahill scoring a double. One of which was an incredible bicycle right in front of where I was sitting. Winning this tournament on home soil meant so much to our country and winning this game so comfortably and with such class really set us on the way. What is your favourite football snack?Luke - Beer is a snack right?Tim - Suncorp Stadium rooster roll.Who is your footballing idol?Luke - Tim Cahill, he's carried Australian football on his back for the last decade, an absolute hero.Tim - Mark Noble, he's a West Ham legend.
