Premier League Previews: Arsenal
alt_text
I just love the buzz of going to all Arsenal games, I feel at home, even when we go away. I vlog my experiences at both the mens and womens games, so you’re likely to see me at Borehamwood or the Emirates.

What are you most excited about heading into the new season?

I reckon the thing I’m most excited about is Salt and PEPE. To be honest, I think most of my excitement stems from the simple fact I thought we were getting absolutely nobody through the door… and yet here we are, three signings later!

What worries you ahead of the new season?

I’m still worried about our defence. Our captain, Koscielny, has just gone AWOL and now Bordeaux have officially signed him. We’ve been shaky at the back for a while, so that’s hardly going to help matters. Solid up front and absolutely shocking at the back – it’s a big worry.

What have you made of your club’s transfer activity this summer?

Our summer transfer activity has been comical, purely because I get to laugh at the reactions of opposing fans when they witness what we’ve managed to pull off. Pretending we’ve got no money before dropping £72m on Pepe – classic. Big up our Head of Football, Raul!

What unpopular opinion do you have about your team?

Unpopular, I know, but I’m still not overly gassed about Pepe! I mean, he had one wonder season and, on my part, I haven’t really seen him play. I’m just going off of YouTube videos and fellow Arsenal fans gassing me up! But still, Pepe’s brought a new level of excitement to the club – we desperately needed that.

Who would win if your squad had a WWE Royal Rumble style fight?

I mean, this goes without saying. Even before all the news circulated of him playing the hero, Sead Kolašinac has always been a force to be reckoned with. The thought of him smashing the ring up with Özil cheering him on from the turnbuckle is a funny one.

Sead would win the whole Royal Rumble on his own.

Where do you think your team will realistically finish in the Premier League?

Realistically, I believe we can finish top four. If you would have asked me a few weeks ago, I would have said 6th, but we’ve strengthened our squad in areas where others haven’t, and I know for sure that we’re due to sign two more players to fill that void at the back.

So yeah, 3rd spot is ours this season. Small progress to get us back to the top.
